essential.5-axis optical image stabilization up to 5.5 stops of shutter compensation with in-body stabilization the α7 iv's high-precision stabilization unit and gyro sensors work with stabilization algorithms to reach 5.5 stops3 of shutter speed compensation, maximizing the high resolution of the 33.0 mp sensor.Sony flash units coordinate with face detection the latest sony flash units communicate with the α7 iv and take advantage of its powerful face detection capabilities to adjust exposure and achieve natural skin tones5.Precise white balance timing and p-ttl metering with high-speed bursts accurately expose moving subjects with rapid lighting changes, offering great creativity.External control of flash units for greater convenience when shooting, compatible radio and flash wireless control units connected to the α7 iv can be controlled directly from the camera interface.Reliable and fast autofocus improved fast hybrid autofocus the fast hybrid af system, with phase- and contrast-detect af, has been developed to improve speed, accuracy and tracking. With sony's 4d focus, a wide, dense af area covers approximately 94% of the image in photos and videos, with 759 phase-detect af points.10fps continuous shooting with fast buffer release mechanical and electronic shutters capture over 800 frames up to 10fps with af/ae tracking, thanks to the large buffer, bionz xr processor and faster card writing speed of the α7 iv.Sony's ai-based intelligent tracking and real-time eye af sony's subject recognition algorithm uses color, pattern (brightness) and distance (depth) data to quickly process spatial information in real time.Ai detects and tracks the eyes and face of the subject (human, animal or bird) with extreme precision. You just have to select the subject and the camera does the rest.Improved real-time eye af the high speed of the latest image processor improves the performance of real-time eye af, even if the subject is looking up, down or to the sides. You can also use touch tracking to start real-time tracking of the subject in the frame, starting eye af in real time if an eye is detected, by simply tapping the screen.Easy pet photos by setting the camera's subject detection to "animal", it is possible to automatically detect and track an animal's eyes, allowing for sensational nature and pet images and videos. This improved system offers reliable tracking and precise focusing even when the animal's face is face down.Real-time bird eye af for the first time in the α series, the bird eye detection system can be used in photos and videos.Simply select the preset for "birds".The camera's amazing speed and precision allow you to automatically keep focus on a specific bird, whether it's perched or in flight, no matter how fast it moves.Video images, always ahead movies in 4k 60p with a natural finish thanks to the new image sensor of the α7 iv and its wide dynamic range, it is now possible to record dynamic and fluid scenes in 4k 60p with full pixel reading and without grouping .7k upscaling for detailed and attractive images when recording 4k videos up to 30p, 7k full-frame upscaling can be applied, ensuring highly detailed 4k.Select the appropriate mode and let the camera take care of everything else.Superior image quality with 10-bit 4:2:2 capture with the incredible richness of 10-bit depth and 4:2:2 color sampling, with long gop or all-intra encoding, for greater flexibility in grading, post-processing and composition.All-intra and long gop encodings supported all-intra4 recording encodes frames separately at speeds of up to 600 mbps, accurately capturing complex movements and enabling more efficient editing.Superior quality and smaller files with xavc hs the xavc hs recording format uses hevc/h.265 to offer twice the compression efficiency of avc/h encoding.264, for superior image quality and smaller file sizes.Record expressive videos with a unique finish.S-cinetone support™, creative look and s-log3 the s-cinetone color matrix, whose design is based on technology acquired through the development of cinealta cameras, such as the venice, provides a finish with attractive skin tones without the need for post-editing.Creative look presets offer distinct visual looks on-camera, while s-log3 gamma profiles allow access to the full dynamic range (over 15 stops).New focal length compensation system the α7 iv leverages our best camera and lens technology to deliver an innovative focal length variation compensation system found only in sony e-mount lenses.By reducing the change in field of view during movie recording and selectively focusing with certain lenses, sony e-mount lenses enable incredibly creative results.Focus map to visualize depth of field as requested by professional creators, the new focus map feature allows you to easily visualize depth of field when shooting. In use, focus information (depth map) is overlaid in a real-time live view, so you can easily see which areas are in focus or not.Af assist supports transitions the af assist feature inherited from the cinema line fx6 allows switching between autofocus (af) and manual (mf).By turning the focus ring to mf mode and pointing at another subject, selective focus can be applied. If you stop rotating, you return to af.Precise focus for greater creative freedom precise focus functions, also featured on the α1 and α7s iii, provide creative options such as selective focus, quick autofocus selection, and custom tracking sensitivity.High-performance "active mode" image stabilization.Reliability in handheld video capture active mode stabilization for video capture is integrated into the high-precision stabilization unit, gyroscopic sensors and sophisticated camera algorithms. It accurately detects the necessary amount of compensation and applies stabilization, allowing you to capture stable 4k videos without sacrificing the compact size and mobility of the α7
